4. Mark 1:17
Then Jesus said to them, "Follow Me, and I will make you become fishers of men."

Simon and Andrew by the Sea of Galilee mending their nets. “Come after me and I will make you fishers of men” and the did it they just left! I wonder what his voice was like? How perfect must it have sounded. The men on the road to Emmamas record that their heart burned with in them as he spoke. These men leaving all for the simplest of calls. What peace this voice must have must have instilled. What passion it must have inspired, not only in his followers but in his enemies as well. It was this same burning voice that haunted them at night that cut them to the quick of their sin. That caused them towant him dead. I close my eyes and try to imagine what this voice sounded like. Was it soft, gravely, or deep? Was it a combination of all of these? This voice that spoke the world into being, raised the dead, and calmed the sea. What was it like! Just when I think that I can no longer stand not to know, he reminds me. It is the same voice that calms the troubled seas of my deep places, That raises my dead hopes and dreams and brings me life and hope. It is the same voice that created a new world in my heart. It is the same voice that reminds me to listen more. I pray my voice sounds more like his every day.
